Liberty-Eylau's Lady Leopards set UIL 4A record in 4x200 meter team relay

Months and months of practice led up to the moment four Liberty-Eylau women began the 4x200 meter relay race in the 4A Team Competition.

The extreme preparation culminated in the joyous news that the Lady Leopards topped the UIL 4A Texas state record on May 11, 2019 with an extraordinary time of 1:38:59.

The smiles were big and the happiness was evident as news broke of Liberty-Eylau's record breaking performance by the talented team.

Overall, the Lady Leopards dominated the 17 events which were scored — along with the Canyon women. No other team was close, but Canyon edged out LE for all events with 86 points and the women of Liberty-Eylau came in second with 72 points.

Forty-two women's teams participated, and no other team was even close to Canyon or Liberty-Eylau. The next closest finisher had 39 points (Waxahachie Life School - 3rd) and 34 points (Dallas Carter - 4th).

Liberty-Eylau continues to do great things - both in sports and academics.
